Roundwood from forest habitat areas is not accepted!

Saw logs are electronically measured and their quality is assessed by an independent surveyor - SIA “VMF Latvia”.

Quality requirements (Latvian State Standard LVS 82:2003):

Saw logs must be:

• freshly carved,
• quality pruned,
• sorted by species,
• with a top length of at least 7cm.

The following are not permitted for sawn logs:

• diameter at the thickest point more than 40.0 cm, excluding the uncut nail or root collar for the first cut,
• Unilateral curvature greater than 2.0%
• multifaceted curvature greater than 1.0%
• metal inclusions,
• rot, blueing, insect damage, cracks, burn,
• rotten or large diameter branches,
• endings.

Round timber that does not meet the specified dimensional or quality requirements is sorted, loaded separately and returned to the supplier, unless otherwise specified in the contract for the supply of sawn logs.

Payment for delivered saw logs according to the timber transport bill - invoice within ten banking days.

Saw logs are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
